A group of women-owned companies have united to generate The Retailers of Aspinwall, a new, collaborative strategy aiming to bring in business in the historic borough.

The new business will host its inaugural “Sip, Chat & Shop” function from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 15.

Participating woman-owned stores in the borough will invite customers to cease in for socializing, refreshments and in a natural way, buying.

“Where else in Pittsburgh can you do some shopping, get your nails performed? Meet up with for lunch or pick up supper and stroll down the park for a live performance soon after dinner,” explained Sarah Tuthill, operator of EZPZ Gatherings cheese and charcuterie store in Aspinwall.

Veteran business operator Rosie Welsh, who opened Rosebud’s gift shop on Initial Avenue in Aspinwall 35 a long time ago, is part of the team.
