Jennifer Aniston made millions of women across the world crave a certain haircut in the 90s and her popularity has never waned in the years since, everyone wants to be a bit more Jen. The Rachel might have been the style to have 30 years ago, but Jen’s hair is still long and healthy and a source of envy.

The actress and producer looks as good as ever and, like JLo and Gwen Stefani, is a great role model for ageing beautifully in a healthy and fit manner. And like both of those stars, she has recently launched a beauty brand of her own, Lolavie, which promises perfect hair.

While we know Jen is an exercise fan, she has inspired many to try things like intermittent fasting and the Zone Diet (40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fats), and she is a fan of meditating and yoga.

But when it comes to her beauty, she has certain secrets about what she likes to use to keep her skin looking radiant and firm. There’s no doubt that a healthy body and healthy skin go hand in hand, so here are a few of her best tips to get that Cali girl glow into your own routine.

Jennifer Aniston starts her day with either a glass of celery juice or lemon in warm water to avoid heading straight to the coffee pot. Her diet prevents eating for a half-hour after she gets up so she uses this time to meditate and get in a little workout.

The Morning Show star plays a talk show host on breakfast TV and she has a good hack that’s old school Hollywood to wake up her face. ‘Eye masks and cryo sticks,’ she told Vogue. ‘Another good one that my facialist taught me is just get a bowl of ice water and splash your face 25 times. It’s an old school trick that Joan Crawford used to do—it just wakes your skin up.’

For beauty products, we know Jennifer Aniston has worked with Aveeno for many years. She has explained many times that it was the first body moisturiser she ever tried when her mum told her to start using lotion at 15.

Go anywhere in the world and you’ll see Jen’s face in magazines and on billboards for the oat-based lotion range that soothes dry skin. These days though, she does do a little more, especially for her face.

At-Home Beauty

At home, she keeps a mini arsenal of beauty tools including an infra-red sauna which she believes is great for detoxing the skin, especially after a workout. And don’t call Jennifer Aniston on a Sunday night, that’s when she has a spa session for her skin.

She gives herself a mini facial – a good scrub, mask, and a hydrating moisturiser which she slathers on and sleeps in. This gives great results she says, ‘When I wake up I have that dewy, glowing, twinkling skin.’

That is only part of how Jennifer Aniston looks so good at 53, she really is up to speed on the science and technology around ageing and goes one step further to defy the effects of gravity and reduced collagen production.

Firming Tools

If you’re going to make 53 look like 43, you need to be up to speed on firming tools and devices and not just anti-ageing skincare. Like so many celebrities, Jennifer Aniston is a fan of Jillian Dempsey’s beauty wand, a 24-carat gold vibrating T-bar tool that depuffs, firms, and sculpts the features of the face.

She also uses the ZIIP nano current device, an at-home electro-current device that boosts lymphatic drainage and circulation, boosting the production of collagen and elastin while it firms the skin. Both of these would have a massively lifting effect, but just like training muscles in the gym, the results come from regular sessions and not a one-off treat.

Jen says of the device, ‘I have never seen such a result from a little machine like that.’ We’re convinced, Jen also says she still gets some sun during the year but she does wear sunscreen now so she’s a fan of self-tan like the rest of us. She believes the sun is good ‘for a glow and your mood.’ We’ll just have to keep taking that Vitamin D and topping up our tan from a bottle, needs must people.
